Highlights
WE NEED SOME VOLUNTEERS!!! We have many people in this parish who do a wonderful job as ministers for our Masses. We appreciate all that you have done and continue to do for our Lord! BUT WE NEED MORE! With our change in Mass times, we are short in all areas of ministry for the Saturday evening Mass (at 5:00 p.m.). We need LECTORS, EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS, ALTAR SERVERS and PRESENTERS OF GIFTS. Please prayerfully consider filling one or more of these positions. If we have enough volunteers, you would essentially only be needed once a month. Scheduling is flexible and I can work around your vacations, etc. If you are interested, or have any questions, please contact me (254-760-4436 or 512-869-3020). Thanks, Jennifer

On Saturday, July 20, we will be offering an Ethics & Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Workshop in the PAC Building from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. For those who aren’t aware, this is a presentation, offered by the Diocese of Austin, to educate us on the too common problem of child abuse by caregivers. The Diocese requires that everyone who works for, volunteers at, or is involved in any ministry in a parish/school is required to take this initial EIM workshop and then a refresher course every three years after to stay aware of this topic. If you are, for example, a VBS volunteer, CCE Catechist or volunteer, fundraiser/Bazaar worker/volunteer, Mass minister (i.e. lector, Eucharistic minister, etc.), Pastoral/Finance Council member, etc --- and this list only scratches the surface --- then you are required to be EIM Certified. If you do any of this/or other in a parish/parish school), and have NEVER taken an EIM Workshop, you should do so immediately. Also, if you are EIM Certified and need a refresher course, you may attend this workshop as a refresher. ***An idea for those of you who took our ‘3 year refresher’ in 2011 --- you will need to take it again by November 2014 --- though it is a year early, you can take this one and be good until November 2016. If you would like to attend this workshop, please RSVP to Jennifer by Sunday, July 7, so that we can have a head count for materials, etc.
